…and in the night, most who lived had died. The world had changed. The clones had taken over, replacing all that was beautiful and original, real and truthful. What was struggle and emotion, life and death became the endless monotony of sound — empty and distant. But in those ashes rose a single bud of what once was — The Dark Riders. They rode in the darkest of nights bringing the ghosts of sounds past, with the main goal of bringing fire and light to ignite the dead and burn the armies of clones straight to HELL.

Jared Elliot's most recent project The Dark Riders are a modern hard rock heavy metal band originating from New York City prior to the change of the world as we knew it. The band is comprised of individuals with a lot of passion and determination to restore all that is good; Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Jared Elliot (JE) leads TDR as they combine heavy dark melody, powerful guitar sounds with devastating rhythm and Jazz fusion elements. The band of riders has extensive background to be able to defeat the evil empire of clones.  With their skill sets and experience of playing in many bands, have written music for contestants on American Idol as well as worked with various artists such as Disturbed (John Moyer), the band is preparing their assault with new music and performances to larger audiences for 2021. Stand up and let’s fight together for the greater good. Support The Dark Riders to restore all that was beautiful and original, real and truthful. We Ride!

Jared Elliot’s journey began when he was a little wild child, influenced, as some would say, by the “devils” music. He had an undeniable passion at a young age, gravitating towards everything musical. Whether it was the song Good Ol’ Boys by Waylon Jennings from the hit television series the “Dukes of Hazzard”, to Motley Crue’s hard rocking rants, to a saxophone-playing street player, Jared was always captivated. As he grew, Jared became more influenced by well-known Rock guitarists, ranging from Jimi Hendrix, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, Nuno Bettencourt, and Richie Kotzen to Blues guitarist Stevie Ray Vaughan, to Fusion-based Al Di Meola. Not limiting himself to the above, he was also fascinated by soul and funk – discovering a love for the band “Sly and the Family Stone” and Motown artists such as Marvin Gaye, The Temptations and the Four Tops. At aged eleven he started taking private lessons, and continued to do so for the next eight years (wherein he continually played and developed both his musical knowledge and technical guitar skills). At aged eighteen, he enrolled and studied at the “Berklee College of Music”. It was during this time period that his musical interests really grew. Expanding from his raw instrumental/rock/fusion song writing high school days, Jared’s talents extended to writing more polished songs in genres varying from rock to pop, and metal to blues and fusion.

Jared Elliot’s debut solo album “Still Breathing” became available in fall 2011. The music is rock/ pop based with touches of alternative and blues funk, and feature his extraordinary guitar playing as well as his vocals and song writing diversity. Filled with beautiful melodies and monster hooks that immediately capture the listener’s attention, the album brings you through a piece of Jared’s “life journey”, granting you access into his own existence while leaving room for the listener’s vision of something entirely different. Jared wrote, recorded - played all instruments (except drums) and produced it himself. The album is a great representation of his talent, ability, hard work, attitude, and emotion, showcasing Jared’s deep passion and love for music.

In the years to follow, Jared Elliot wrote for, recorded and performed with various artists and bands throughout the East coast, continuing to develop his craft while molding him into the ingenious and multifaceted musical artist he is today. Some of the bands/artists and producers that Jared has worked/ performed which include: The Dark Riders (for which he is the singer, guitarist, founder and primary songwriter), John Moyer (Disturbed),Terra Stigma, Exotik Robotz and Season 4 American Idol contestant Joe Murena. Jared wrote and co-wrote two songs which were featured in Joe Murena’s “After the Storm”, titled “Apology” and “No Way”.

Other bands and artists Jared has worked with were Soal (for which he was the guitarist, founder and primary songwriter), Dead Flowers, Jeff Moon, Seeds of Babylon and Acar Key (who produced the hit song “Everybody Dance Now”).  In addition he has opened for well-known artists such as Evans Blue, Vanilla Ice, Type O Negative, 12 Stones and has performed at Z02’s rock nights in NYC.

Jared Elliot has also has many years of teaching experience, (teaching most recently at his own school – Jared Elliot Guitar School in New York).

Being a songwriter and monster guitar player is what he loves and knows best.
